WHO CAN HELP?

We encourage everyone to devote some time in their lives to helping others. You can use skills you already have, learn something new, or do both!

WHAT SHOULD I MAKE?

You might start with smaller, easier or faster projects, such as putting stuffing into the prayer bears or braiding jump ropes. There are also opportunities for sewing, quilting, crochet, knit, woodworking, tatting, and more! We accept donations of money (for shipping/postage) and supplies (fabric, yarn, T-shirts, and other supplies).

One thing that’s especially interesting about “handwork” is that what one person finds easy & fun might not work out so well for someone else…even though the skills are the same, different people often enjoy different types of handwork.

Explore a bit and find your own niche. You’ll probably meet some new friends along the way, too.

IT’S HARD TO FIND THE TIME ….

It may seem challenging to make changes in a routine, but it can be done … although admittedly it may feel “easier said than done” as they say, especially at first.

If you are not able to attend the meetings during the week, we can also create “kits” for you to complete projects at home on your own or with family or other groups.

(especially the jump ropes!)
